Winner of The World Title in both the Jazz and the Popular Music Category at the 2012 World Choir Games in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dekoor Close Harmony, founded in 1985, is a choir of 30 students of the Utrecht University in The Netherlands. Conducted by Christoph Mac-Carty, the choir brings a mix of jazz, gospel and popular music to the stage, while occasionally experimenting with classical genres and world music as well.

News Item: Folio, Six Dutch Poets
Between the 12th and the 22nd of April, five Dutch poets—John Schoorl, Joost Zwagerman, Hélène Gelèns, Erik Jan Harmens, and Lucas Hirsch—participated in the “New York to Pittsburgh and Back Dutch Poetry Tour,” which was organized by Hirsch and his poetrypromoting organization Small Revolution Productions, based in Haarlem, and supported by the Dutch Foundation for Literature. (The sixth poet included here and originally scheduled to participate, Pieter Boskma, had to bow out of the tour at the last minute.) During their ten days in the U.S., this eclectic group of poets read at Columbia University, Poets House, City of Asylum in Pittsburgh, The Netherland Club in New York City, and Ledig House in Omni, New York. What follows is a very small sample of their work—and thus of contemporary Dutch poetry—from Pieter Boskma, whose first book appeared in 1987, to Lucas Hirsch, whose first book was published in 2006.(Click link to read more)

Hardwell (born as Robbert van de Corput in Breda, Netherlands) is a progressive and electro house DJ and music producer. She then Pursued intensive vocal studies with Udo Reinemann at the Amsterdam Conservatory graduating cum laude. S he furthered her studies with Jard van Nes, Noelle Barker and Dame Janet Baker. Throughout her career, she has won important prizes Include Several prestigious 2005/06 ECHO Rising Star, 2005 Borletti-Buitoni Trust Award and the Dutch Music Prize in 2008 . Also Christi Stotijn was a BBC New Generation Artist in 2007.
